Blackfoot Communications Graduates and Hires First IT Apprentice

Blackfoot Communications is proud to announce that the first participant in our Information Technology (IT) apprenticeship program has joined our team full time. We are thrilled to partner with local universities and colleges to create a work experience program that benefits students with hands-on training, and when possible, helps with career placement.

This is the third year of Blackfoot’s apprentice program which enables students to gain first-hand experience in fields such as IT and Accounting, while also completing important coursework. Chase Rathert was the first participant in Blackfoot’s IT apprentice program. Chase joined Blackfoot in June of 2019 working as a Tech 1 Apprentice while attending Missoula College. After completing the Montana Registered Apprenticeship, he was hired by Blackfoot.

“Working in person and remotely, he completed the required 2000 hours in December of 2020, and has now joined our team full time in our Technical Assistance Center. Blackfoot is proud of Chase’s accomplishment and the contributions he has made to the team already!”, said Laura Marshall, VP Human Resources & Community Relations.
