30th Annual EEE Provides Technology for Rural Classrooms

Today, Blackfoot, Missoula Electric Cooperative (MEC), and Energy Partners (EP) hosted the 30th Annual Electronic Educational Equipment (EEE) Awards Program for rural students and teachers at the Hilton Garden Inn, Missoula. The EEE program was founded in 1989 to help bring current technology to rural classrooms.

This year’s lunch program emcee was Chase Reynolds, former Griz great and NFL player from Drummond, Montana. He encouraged attendees to work hard, noting that his Drummond education and Montana work ethic have helped him succeed. Reynolds also talked about the benefits of cooperative membership and thanked the EEE Program for providing much needed support to rural schools. He also autographed footballs for excited students.

EEE is a great testament to Blackfoot’s commitment to quality education in our rural schools. To date, the program has provided more than $525,000 of funding towards modern technology needs for our schools! We are proud to partner with MEC and MEP to make a difference in our communities.
