EEE Hosts 28th Annual Awards Luncheon
A long standing collaboration to support rural education in Western Montana.
Blackfoot, Missoula Electric Cooperative (MEC) and Energy Partners (EP), will host the 28th Annual Electronic Educational Equipment (EEE) awards luncheon for rural students and teachers on Thursday, November 2 at the Hilton Garden Inn, Missoula. The EEE Program, a collaboration among Blackfoot, MEC and Energy Partners, is designed to ensure rural schools have the latest technology in their classrooms. The program has raised more than $600,000 for schools across Western Montana since its inception in 1989. This year’s event will award $30,000 to more than 80 area schools.
The EEE program has undergone significant changes in the last few years to address newer trends in the classroom, such as the addition of cloud services and interactive devices. The founding companies welcome the opportunity to visit with students and administrators in a celebratory setting.
Susan Thraen, this year’s program speaker and a member of MEC’s Board of Trustees issued a statement on behalf of Blackfoot, MEC and EP: “We look forward to this luncheon every year as a way to learn first-hand what is happening in our schools and to meet the students who are the future of our service area communities.”
