Governor Steve Bullock Visits Blackfoot’s Missoula Campus

Blackfoot welcomed Governor Steve Bullock to the company’s Missoula-based headquarters on Wednesday, August 8. Jason Williams, Blackfoot CEO, led an interactive meeting with updates on the company’s open innovation lab, C2M beta, and an overview of the company’s  activities, including its extensive broadband infrastructure investment initiatives.

“The team at Blackfoot is leading in innovation and business growth as a Montana-based technology provider partnering with startups,” Governor Bullock said. “Blackfoot’s investment in our state and communities is a great example of a local company giving back for continued economic growth throughout the state.”

In addition to learning Blackfoot’s internal and external investments, Governor Bullock heard how the C2M beta program is benefiting the region through local partnerships and unique applications of new services and solutions.

“We were happy to have Governor Bullock join us to see all the great things we are doing,” said Williams. “We were able to share about exciting programs happening at Blackfoot, including our multi-year broadband investment initiative, smart internal programs that are creating exceptional customer experiences and C2M beta.”

Announced in April 2018, C2M beta is the first corporate-backed open innovation lab in Montana and the region, providing entrepreneurs access to Blackfoot’s advanced network infrastructure and its network of leaders, experts and customers.

“Meeting with Governor Bullock allowed us to share some recent successes from the inaugural C2M beta cohort,” said Joe Fanguy, Blackfoot Vice President of Strategic Development. “We continue to be amazed with the energy and drive of our entrepreneurial teams, their dedication and how their innovative solutions will impact the greater Blackfoot community.”
