Expanding Fiber Network Offers Immediate Access to Last-Mile Connectivity
Partnership enables simplified process for carrier and enterprise customers.
Fatbeam announced today its intention to formally join a partner network in collaboration with Blackfoot. Fatbeam is a business-to-business provider of reliable fiber-based network solutions serving Arizona, Idaho, Oregon, Montana, Nevada, Washington and Wyoming.
The partner network is a coalition of trusted, regional network operators creating a combined voice and data network to streamline last-mile connectivity for carrier and enterprise customers across the Western United States.
The coalition is comprised of other members including: Advanced Communications Technology (a wholly owned subsidiary of Range Telephone Cooperative), Blackfoot Carrier Services and NebraskaLink. The partnership enables providers to quickly turn up connections across multiple states via a reliable, high-capacity, low-latency fiber backbone. This unique customer-centric approach and stringent service level agreement (SLA) management are key differentiators for partners.
At Fatbeam we take great pride in building a brand of professionalism, from the people we hire to the fiber optic network solutions we deliver across the Western U.S. When the opportunity came up to strategically partner with Blackfoot, we felt confident that our alignment would create a valuable impact to our customers. Combining our mutually owned fiber networks will create a larger footprint and enable us to be more competitive with national carriers.”
Gregory Green, CEO at Fatbeam
By leveraging a series of network-to-network interfaces (NNIs), the partners combine their individual network assets and are then able to jointly market an expanded fiber network footprint.
Courtesy of the regional coalition, the participating partners will leverage a go-to-market strategy that is truly a differentiator. In addition to promoting their own assets, partners will be in the unique position of promoting a network footprint that encompasses several states. Carrier and enterprise customers can continue to do business with their preferred network operator at many more locations and sites.”
Todd Twete, Director of Carrier Services at Blackfoot
As well as driving new wholesale and enterprise revenue for its partners, the partner network provides several business benefits, including reducing 3rd party circuit expenses, expediting quote lead times and streamlining operational processes.
